Welcome to my corner of the internet, friends. I'm Ky - an extroverted soul with a passion for art, culture, and fostering genuine connections.
My love for photography isn't really about taking photos - it's about connecting with people, learning their stories, and telling them through my lenses. With my camera, I'm able to show the world the faces of joy, excitement, thrill and love.
From early on, I learned that people around the world are unique and decided that was something to be celebrated.
Through my photography, I aim to help others see the beauty in themselves that they often overlook. I specialize in taking real, authentic, lifestyle portraits that highlight all the things that make you, you.
When my wife, Ari, and I were in college, we began borrowing cameras from the campus library - partly for class projects... mostly to have fun! We loved to take pictures, so naturally as a graduation gifts we both got our own cameras. This propelled us to use photography as a new way to document the places, people and stories we had the privilege to encounter.
Being involved on campus, we made a ton of friends - all of whom needed graduation pictures! One by one, we took photos for each of our friends and soon enough, KARI (Ky + Ari) Candids was born. Four years and 300+ photoshoots later, let's just say the rest is history!
